This is a full-time programme which comprises of 8 modules studied over one year. The HTQ (Higher Technical Qualification) will enable you to develop a range of specialist skills to meet the demands of employers. You will learn through a variety of teaching methods which will aim to meet the needs of each individual and accommodate different learning styles for example, case studies, assessments, group work, practical work, projects, extended writing and interactive activities.

All lecturers teaching this course hold a PCGE or equivalent qualification in education as well as a degree in Computer Science.

Learning in state of the art rooms, learners will use industry standard hardware and software and have access to extensive VLE with resources and online submission. There is also a games design & development studio with VR technologies.
Tameside College is an Amazon Web Services Academy. You will have the opportunity to undertake formal AWS courses and become a certified practitioner. You will have access to the Amazon Learner Labs for both the AWS Academy and HNC courses.
